BLS for the healthcare provider
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This hands-on course teaches the latest CPR techniques using the American Heart Association’s® 2020 guidelines for adults, children, and infants. Our experienced instructors will discuss and review scenarios for emergency response and CPR in both in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
The intended audience for this class includes providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, medical or nursing students in training, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel.
You are required to have the current textbook(s) for this course. If you already own or have access to the textbook(s) before, during, and after the class, you do not need to purchase them. The course textbook(s) can be purchased electronically from the American Heart Association website below:
