WELCOME TO INSTRUCTOR TRAINING REGISTRATION!
These are the steps you must do to complete an AHA Instructor:
1. Provide a current AHA provider card for the discipline you are instructing.
2. Complete Instructor Candidate Application (completed for each discipline separately) to Affiliate with an AHA Training Center. Document https://cpr.heart.org/-/media/CPR2-Files/PAM/Resources-for-PAM/10_13_22/PAM_InstCanApp__221006_FINAL-2.pdf
3. Complete the Instructor Essentials online course for your desired disciplines and print the course completion certificate. This AHA Instructor Essentials online course must be completed before attending the classroom Instructor course. The instructor Essentials Course link will be provided upon registration.

4. Complete the classroom AHA Instructor Course, passing the written test for your chosen discipline(s) with a score of at least 84%
5. Purchase the Instructor Manual (HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU DO NOT ORDER THE DOWNLOAD)
6. Purchase the Provider Manual
7. Purchase or have access to AHA-approved feedback manikins a link provided here for an example:
8. Create a profile through the ATLAS platform. atlas.heart.org/home Use your personal email not work, you may change jobs and will lose access if the email is closed.
10. Successfully be monitored teaching your first AHA course. The Training Center Coordinator can require additional monitoring based on the result given by the Training Center Faculty.
11. Re-certify every 2 years. The AHA requires that you teach 4 classes within that 2 years and be monitored during one of those classes to re-certify. You will also be required to perform the skills of CPR and take the written exam to prove you still can practice what you preach.
